“Molding Meaning: Communication is Key!” is a presentation focusing on the importance of communication within a workforce and organization or between individuals. It will allow the audience to experience the impacts of miscommunication with an interactive sculpting scenario and witness the power of verbal discussions and nonverbal cues. Polymer clay will be provided for those attending in-person! Even though the word “communication” may suggest the use of verbal statements, there are many different forms of nonverbal communication, as well. Communication is vital to accomplishing tasks and succeeding as an individual or within a group. If connecting with others is so important, then why are there communication gaps, and what are the consequences? How can one enhance their communicating skills? The “Molding Meaning: Communication is Key” presentation will elaborate on these concepts and allow hands-on demonstrations within the audience.
For those attending virtually, you can purchase some clay at a craft store or Walmart for about $1 (like this one: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Sculpey-Bake-Shop-2-oz-Oven-Bake-Polymer-Clay-White/5379638086?classType=VARIANT&athbdg=L1102&from=%2Fsearch&sid=ea9e456c-a75d-4b2a-a9f1-0b4bc170ce72).
