For many of you, developing others is your passion but in doing so, your own progression in your role and in your career may be unclear, has stalled, or is non-existent. ATD released the Talent Development Capability Model in an interactive model you can use to assess your place against industry-researched and accepted knowledge and skills to help determine where you need to go and how to get there. It’s the gap assessment, personalized learning plan, and tracker-- all rolled into one tool that helps to clear your path and motivate you toward your professional development goals. Everyone has their own career aspirations—more responsibility, more money, more expertise. The free interactive model can help marry the aspirations with where you are now to help you achieve your own professional development goals. And if you’ve been interested in achieving the APTD or CPTD certifications, join us to learn more about benefits of earning a talent development credential.
This session will cover:
· Participants will come away with an understanding of how societal forces and business changes are requiring professionals to adopt new approaches and upgrade skills to keep pace.
· Participants will be able to apply the common language from a network of global practitioners to their own experiences and informal/formal education to assess and compare strengths and weaknesses that will become a factor in achieving their own career aspirations.
· Participants will have the opportunity to build a learning plan for a sample practitioner and in doing so, gain the ability to apply their own gap assessment results and aspirations into generating their own plan.
· Participants will understand the policy and concepts behind two talent development certifications, how to apply, how to prepare, and the benefits of earning a credential.
