Wrangling SME's for Success

Whether you are a Human Resources partner, trainer, coach, or manager— you will likely find the occasional need to create content for your organization and will need to work with subject matter experts (SMEs) within your organization. Often because of a number of factors including deadlines, interpersonal relationships, and internal politics, a scenario that would otherwise offer an organization a great opportunity for internal collaboration becomes an exercise in managing challenges. This presentation will provide insights and wisdom to get past the pain points so you can deliver critical results!

Your speaker is Rob Hoitt, CPTD

Rob Hoitt is a Sr. Professional Development Consultant with a Fortune 500 corporation specializing in federal services. A true “accidental trainer,” Rob came into learning and development after a decade of working in the television broadcast industry, having worked at independent and network television stations. Through this rich experience, Rob has spent nearly 20 years in the learning and development industry specializing in leadership development and technical training. In addition to becoming one of the first people to attain the Associate Professional of Talent Development, and one of the first people to take and pass the new Certified Professional in Talent Development credentials, Rob graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Arizona in 2021. Rob also holds a Certificate in Instructional Design and Delivery from American Military University, and is a Certified Facilitator from Development Dimensions International.
